audience has an idea of what it is about.
• White boxing gloves and ring ropes (in background)- Gives the
audience an idea of what the film is about without watching
the trailer. Its hard to see but the gloves also have WBC
written on them which stand for World Boxing Council
showing that the film is definitely about boxing, they also look
warn out showing how it leads on from the first one.
• The position of the actors- Michael B. Jordan is knelt down
screaming. This could show how he is angry at something or is
upset about something that has happened, he has also tensed
his body showing that he really means it.
• The title Creed II- The title shows that it follows the first Creed
so therefore follows the Rocky franchise again.
• Release date ‘Coming soon’- this making the audience more
intrigued about the actual date of release but also the film
does not show too much of what happens in the film making
what happens in the movie build up suspense for the
audience.
• Setting- The main character is in a boxing ring which has got a
huge crowd of people around him, the sweat on the actor
shows that he has just had a fight.
• His shorts- The shorts that where used in the first film are
being used again showing that it can continue after the last
fight in the first film.
• MGM- the production company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s logo
was used showing who helped with the production of the
movie.
• #CREEDII- in the bottom right there is a hashtag so that the
audience after they see it can give there review of the film for
the family and friends to read it to see if they will watch it or
not.
6. • Release date ‘June 28’- Shows when the audience can expect
to see the movie out in cinemas.
• Red car being chased by police- This shows the genre of
crime and also by how many cop cars there are shows how
serious the crime was. The red car also has streaks to show
how fast the car was going.
• Machine gun- shows how there will be violence so also
suggests what age group of people should watch it. The
facial expression on the man who is armed with the gun
shows how angry he is, so also can hint at him being a villain
as they are stereotypically angry.
• ‘All you need is one killer track’- The slogan makes the
audience who looked at the poster more intrigued about a
crime movie with such a different slogan to most films, so
are more likely to watch the movie.
• Four well know actors- Helps you to decide if you would
watch it or not, plus can give you an idea of what genre the
film is.
• The female with the gun- Shows how she is getting ready to
shoot but compared to the other characters does not look
angry but is sort of smiling, this could show that she knew
what she was doing showing her as a villain.
• Tattoo's on Jamie Foxx- stereotypes show him as a gang
member or shows how they have been arrested making him
look like a more devious.
• Sony logo- The company that produced the film can show if
there is high expectations for the movie.
7. • Mask with knife in eye whole- Foreshadows the main character
‘Jason Voorhees’ death. The blood underneath the mask shows
how it will be a bloody death and so shows the horror/slasher
genre.
• The title ‘Friday the 13th The Final Chapter- shows how it carries
on from the same film franchise but also that it will be the last
one in the series when it was released. (they did carry it on after
a year, resurrecting the main character after his death)
• The cut on the mask- Relates back to part 3, the film before,
when he gets an axe hit his mask and shows dry blood from the
movie before, when he got hit.
• The black background- Shows that there will be death as the
colour black is the stereotypical colour which represents death
or evil.
• Paramount- At the bottom of the screen Paramount's logo is
there showing which company helped with the budget off the
film. The audience could also like the film more from a certain
companies production.
• R rated- There is also the rated R logo in the opposite corner to
the paramount logo showing how there will be blood and
violence included in the product.
• Black shadow on mask- Shows how the mask connotes evil and
then with the knife threw the mask shows that the villain dies
which gives the audience an idea of what could happen in the
movie.
• Blood- the blood the mask is on shows how the film had a good
budget as it looks like the knife in the eye caused the blood to
come out, plus by how realistic the blood looks but also the cut
wear the axe was looks like it happened a while a go plus the
fake blood looks quite realistic as well.

as black is the stereotypical colour of evil. The
cloak also shows he is the leader as he is the
odd one out in what he is wearing compared
to the Storm Troopers . The red lightsabre
stereotypically represents hell. Hero's shown
as weaker to the villain but still able to escape
showing the stereotype of villains being
stronger.
