Maarten has over 35 years’ of experience as Exploration Geologist
for Shell. He was previously based in Egypt, NW Borneo, China,
Madagascar, UK, Oman and The Netherlands. His areas of
expertise include Seismic Stratigraphy, Reservoir Characterisation,
Prospect Maturation, PBE and Brownfield Opportunity Screening.
He has specialist knowledge in Depositional Systems, Regional
and Reservoir Geology. He has developed and delivered courses
in Malaysia, Bangalore, Singapore, Cairo and The Netherlands. He
is currently an independent trainer and part time geological
consultant
