This document provides information on training courses for process hazard assessment using the HAZOP technique. The first course is a 3-day course that teaches the basics of HAZOP methodology and provides opportunities to practice conducting HAZOP studies through exercises. The second course is a 2-day course for those already familiar with HAZOP, focusing on developing the skills needed to lead a HAZOP team. Both courses involve participative learning through syndicate work and practicing the role of HAZOP team leader.
1. Process Hazard Assessment using the
HAZOP Technique
Develop your competency in the basic mechanics of the Hazard and Operability
(HAZOP) technique to positively contribute to a HAZOP study team.
HAZOP Team Leader Training
Examine, learn and develop the required competence of a HAZOP Team Leader to
successfully lead a HAZOP study team.
Conducted by Course Director:
Angus Kiddie
Angus Kiddie combines a strong technical safety background, proven management and
facilitation credentials and robust communication skills. He has leveraged the use of
these assets to achieve success in the industry posts he has held to date in his career.
