4. The Live Virtual Training session was excellent!
I was able to grasp the content of the material
very clearly. The interactive element with
participantsâ input from time to tome, plus the
poll questions was just like attending a real
classroom session.
I have completed many online virtual training
sessions and have gained value from the live
virtual training KJ Ross provide. The KJ Ross
LVT is as good as an in classroom presentation.
I would definitely like to sit in again in future
sessions.

Live virtual training is delivered via an online webinar platform with live interaction
occurring between the trainer and attendees plus further collaboration between
peers for course activities and discussions.
KJ Ross offer a number of software testing courses via a live virtual method.
Training sessions go for approximately two hours, two times a week and you can
complete a full course in 5 weeks or less. Plus if you miss a session you can
access catchup lessons so you donât miss out.
9. The ISTQB Foundation provides attendees a thorough understanding of the fundamental concepts
of testing. The main aim of the course is to provide a solid basis for attendeesâ further development
through the ISTQB programme.
More than supplying an understanding of industry recognised testing terminology, methods and
standards, the goal is that attendees return to their place of work with strong practical skills, such as
the identification of risk and how testing can mitigate the risk, how to carefully design and document
test cases, plus how to record and report the results of testing.
Different techniques and methodologies are discussed, to help supply a âtesting toolboxâ for each
attendee, allowing the students to employ recognised best practice in their place of work.
*ISTQB exam is not included in this price, and is at an additional cost of $300

10. User acceptance testing is a phase of the software development process, in which the software
is subject to scrutiny by the intended users of the application. It is typically performed by either an
internal user acceptance test team, or by engaging volunteers from the business.
The experiences of the user acceptance testers are essential to provide feedback to the development
team as to whether that application meets the user requirement for the system. It is typically the final
phase of testing prior to deployment of the application, and frequently used as contractual sign off
for handover of the application.
The course is intended for attendees that are relatively new to the testing area, and has particular
emphasis on training attendees from the non-technical business areas on the expectations of their
UAT role when participating in the software development process.

11. Agile methodologies are gaining popularity across a number of different industry verticals, from
banking to travel and even defence. The attractiveness of lean development projects, with a shorter
time-to-market, is drawing CIOs, project managers and development managers to rethink how IT
products are delivered.
One of the biggest challenges is the paradigm shift to the Agile way of working; the course assists in
the mind shift in the whole approach on how software applications are developed, and ensures the
transition is successful.
This course aims at ensuring the same level of rigour is applied during the integrated testing, and
improves the ramp-up time to full productivity for testers. It will give testers the essential skills in
test design, appreciation of the use of tools and a high-level appreciation of test planning, while also
addressing the need for development in soft-skills and reinforcing the need for greater collaboration
and communication between project participants.

Practical Agile Tester
12. Test managers are facing new challenges on how to adapt their testing process, as more development
shops move to some form of Agile developmental process.
What are the pitfalls of moving to Agile Testing? How best can you maintain quality and rigor in such
a fluid environment?
By discussing the different Agile approaches, this course will help the test manager ensure that the
most appropriate practices are employed to plan, manage and implement testing. The capturing
of requirements, appropriate use of test automation, test effort and schedule estimation and
documentation is still important in Agile testing projects, but the rules have changed. Throughout the
course, real life case studies and relevant exercises help attendees understand how to successfully
implement Agile testing processes whilst avoiding the pitfalls.

Practical Agile Test Management
13. With mobile devices set to become the primary interface for personal information access globally,
many organisations are now compelled to deliver their content and services via a constantly shifting
set of mobile platforms, in addition to their regular desktop and web-based application deployments.
This poses many challenges for software testing a and quality assurance:
⢠Testing against device emulators is often inadequate, yet the number and variety of physical
devices means getting coverage across all target devices is impractical
⢠Likewise, testing on all target operator networks is impractical, and networks operator frequently
impose constraints on testing.
⢠Performance risks are heightened due to the combination of network and device hardware
constraints.
⢠The push to deliver applications across multiple device platforms simultaneously increases the
time to market pressure for testing teams that may already be stretched.

Practical Mobile Application Testing
14. Test environment management is technically and organisationally one of the most challenging parts
of a testing project. Uncertainties in environment setup and maintenance threaten the validity of test
results, as well as adding considerable overheads to achieving test project demands and milestones.
Adoption of best practices in test environment management offers the potential for fulfilment of real
benefits, such as:
Improved agility and flexibility, particularly shorter turnaround times. Higher utilization and sharing
of test infrastructure reducing capital expenditure costs. Higher confidence in testing outcomes,
leading to greater compliance with corporate and legislative requirements.
This course will cover the essentials of efficient test environment management. We will introduce
a process maturity model for test environment management, which is used as a basis for building
effective support.
