In 2017 the amount of money spent on advertising on the Internet for the first time will have exceed the cost of advertising on the
traditional broadcast television.
This is stated in the report " The Advertising Spends Forecast" by Zenith ROI agency.
Thus, according to experts, this year the volume of funds allocated for advertising on the Internet worldwide will reach the mark of $ 205
billion, whereas on the TV advertising will be allocated $ 192 billion. As predicted by Zenith, advertising spends worldwide in 2017 -2018
years will grow by 4.4% and reach $592 billion by the end of 2018.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading the bill No. 5313
"On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Language of
Audiovisual (Electronic) Media" as a basis on 16th March .
The following quotas are envisaged in the Bill:
– 75% of the state language for nationwide TV channels,
– 50% for regional, and 75% for information programs

Among the positive aspects of the draft law on quotas - is the
stimulation of own production.
According to the results of Nielsen's research, TV-viewers prefer
programs that are shot in Ukraine, in contrary to some forecasts
that Ukrainian TV channels without Russian content aren't
interesting for viewers.

According to the State Statistics Service, the fourth quarter of 2016,
the number of cable TV subscribers fell by 14% and amounted to 2.9
million on the 1st January 2017.
During the same period the number of subscribers of satellite TV has
more than doubled and totaled 471 thousand. The number of
interactive TV subscribers increased by 80% and totaled 541
thousand.

Channel "Ukraine" and STB shared the championship in March. Each
of the TV channels leads two audiences.
STB and "1+1" increased the audience of 18-54 50k+ just +0.5% and
has occupied, as in February, the second and third positions,
respectively.
The biggest gain in this audience was for the New Channel - 1.1%,
which brought it to the 5th position (they managed to push back
Inter, compared to February, to the 7th place).

Google is pulling display ads from being placed alongside a wider range
of content on YouTube and other sites, in the wake of a spike of criticism
that its automatic, programmatic advertising seemingly cannot stop

Within new structure we have four functions, three of which are leading
(Creative, Media and Performance) and one is supportive (re:Sources).
Media function management and business development is divided between
two P1 Media Business Directors – Denis Storozhuk (covering Zenith and a
brand new media agency Blue 449) and Enver Kikava (responsible for
Starcom and Mediavest). Denis’s major role on a new position is business
development of both brands and integration with leading P1 functions
(creative and performance) to deliver the unique values for all Zenith and
Blue 449 partners.
Starting from Apr, 19-th Vyacheslav Levchenko is promoted to new position
– Managing Director of Zenith Ukraine. Vyacheslav joined Zenith 10 years
ago and consistently overachieved stretched goals put for his team.
All these changes in P1 journey aimed to reach the highest level of
integration of all leading functions (creative, media and performance) will
build a strong basis to deliver more business values for our partners.
