Purpose: To inform my audience about transferring from Mesa Community College (MCC) to another university.
Central Idea: There are several ways to transfer to a university from MCC, but the top two ways are by transferring credits and using a program, both

Credibility Statement: When I was thinking about what I wanted to do in the future, I decided I wanted a bachelor's degree. I had a lot of questions
about the transfer process and making sure the classes I took here could transfer to a four–year university, so I did a lot of research before I decided to
sign up for the MAPP.

The world of sports has grown larger than life over the past century, especially in college. Being a collegiate athlete is, without question, the hardest

The only day off is Sunday. This seems a little far fetched for being college students. Oh, I forgot to mention the pay; $0. Student–athletes have a more
demanding job, mentally and physically, yet they have little to show for it.
This isn't an argument that proposes colligate athletes should be paid just because they work hard. The reasoning extends far beyond their work
ethics. First of all, colligate athletics is a billion dollar industry. On average, 44,367 fans attend a college football game. Imagine that a university such
as Ohio State holds 7 games at Ohio Stadium as it did in 2003. 105.000+ fans can occupy Ohio Stadium at one time. At the least, one may find a
ticket for $50, if they are lucky. During one Ohio State football game, at least $5.25 million will be made. This is just one source of revenue the
university receives. Not to mention, merchandise, concessions, and BSC appearances. All are major contributors to the lucrative business of college
athletics.
From the millions of dollars generated from ticket sales to the millions of dollars generated from major tournament bids, colligate athletes don't
receive any of this money, which is ironic considering the fact that they are the reason that most of this money is being made. Why shouldn't they be
rewarded with a share of the billion dollar a year industry that they are so much a part of? Why

As pounded in our heads by teachers and adults, after high school the best idea is to go to college. This may not be the case for everyone. There are
many pros and cons for college. College is not for everyone, and I believe students should have the freedom to choose the path they take. For people

associate's degree, so why waste your money at a university. Some may say that the experience at a four–year university is critical to growing up. Mr.

To the Transfer Student I have spent a year at SUU as a transfer student, and it was only just in this last couple weeks I learned that the third floor of
the library is the place where you can talk and have study groups. My knowledge of the library was limited to the second floor–which means no talking
and it's about as silent as a funeral service. Sometimes the sniffles are from crying, but most the time it's just the common cold floating around.
Sometimes transfer students are the last people thought about when schools are preparing for a new semester. We aren't automatically signed up for the
freshman tour, or have a school–set–up appointment with an academic adviser. In some ways, we are kind of left to our own. I mean we have gone to

I was awed by the services and many opportunities available to students, such as the chance to study abroad or to do an internship. The option of
declaring a pre–occupational therapy major through Texas Woman'sUniversity was an extremely attractive quality for me. This option would allow
