  2. Moving pictures have transformed how we ingest media Most powerful form of communication. It uses more than one sense. keeps up in emotionally engaged, educational tool, entertainment device.
  3. It has drama it has players, protagonists and antagonists, problems and solutions. Everyone loves a good story. Ask about favorite stories.
  4. I feel it is the most powerful form of communication. Video has really come into its own. I can bombard you with statistics, but let’s take a more storytelling approach.
  5. Video uses both sight and sound Increases retention. Easily engaged with because of the senses
  6. 2nd most used search engine. owned by google It’s now 10 years old this year. Ubiquitous with online video. Question: how many watched a YouTube vid: yesterday? last week? Biz on YT?
  7. millenials = internet. digital natives = online video communicate with FaceTime, google hangouts Skype, etc. Phones and tablets have hd cameras. 21st century way to communicate.
  8. 1. there are several misconceptions. here are 3.
  9. misconception 1 is video is expensive. Cost of gear and software is down, plus SSD, drop box Facebook & Youtube for distributing
  10. video can only be a certain length true and false social media: .5 to 2 min, kickstarters: 2.5 min fundraisers: 5 min. understand audience. Think in terms of movie trailers or music videos (2-4)
  11. video is geared to a younger audience growing population of social media users over 60. Thank tablet question: how many of you consider yourselves millenials.
  12. talked about why using video and debunked misconceptions. Now it’s time to talk about how. Start thinking of ways to show yourself as the guide to how your services can rescue the customer from your competitors.
  13. I have 5 ways to think of how to construct this storyline. There are several more ways but this is a good start.
  14. You want to highlight new things your business is doing. throw in a deal or two keep ahead of the competition Talk about video in the picture
  15. keep audience in the loop through promotional material for an exclusive event. easily shareable. spreads the word. Talk about video.
  16. misconception: showing what we do, people won’t need business. youtube=yellow pages. need to show more. gives credibility talk about video
  17. most powerful marketing tool you can use. using a face and a voice of normal people. use video as an example.
  18. always get faq’s. use a video to point to to answer the question. Use video.
  19. facility walkthroughs, meet the team, recruitment, training, partner profiles
  20. Story has three parts. Internal story should have up to three concepts to each idea. call to action
  21. people write down a video idea for their business. have 3-5 people present their ideas.
  22. distribution: facebook, youtube, kaltura, wistia how to use video: it should play a part in your campaign. Gary V. make it searchable.
  23. Content is king Context is queen community know who they are.
  24. educate: who are you? entertain: why should they deal with you Engage: get them to share.
  25. Why video is important. What to say and how to use it and where it goes. Companies big and small should be using video. Leveled the field Be that guide to bring that innocent bystander to safety by having your product or service be that hero. Control your story.
  26. Can you do this? yes. resources are readily available. FB live with phone. use a professional because of time and creativity to tell your story. chad story. use real world examples: plumbing, roofing pro head shot photo.
