CAREER. Served in the Armed Forces for 7 years as an Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineer, then joined Bombardier
Transportation as an assistant Electrical Design Engineer followed by Test, Commissioning and Maintenance of a wide range of
rail vehicles. The last 3 years I have been the Project Reliability Engineer for the First Transpennine Express contract and also
provided engineering support for the Scotrail Turbostar project and the 22X Platform projects.

CAREER HISTORY
Project Reliability Engineer Bombardier 2012 - Present
Achieved a 40% increase in fleet reliability in the last 24 months.
Achieved 100% fleet availability requirement in the last 13 months.
Responsible for all aspects of the reliability and performance of the Class 170 Transpennine Express fleet, including
control of vehicle maintenance to a defined regime, technical documentation, modifications, reliability analysis, vehicle
safety and conformance to group standards.
Have lead and implemented numerous modifications and overhaul packages to improve reliability.
Lead reliability support for the East Midlands Class 222 and supported the Cross Country and Arriva Class 220 & 221
fleets.
Responsible for liaising with multiple customers both internal and external, leading technical reporting and weekly
feedback on reliability, safety and maintenance.
Recently and currently supporting other Bombardier contracts in terms of reliability and safety.
Production Team Leader Bombardier 2006 - 2012
Responsible for the control of day to day maintenance and repair of three fleets within Crofton depot and at two
outstations.
In charge of a small team of production staff during the dayshift and fully in charge of the whole depot during a
nightshift with a larger production and train care team.
Ensure staff, contractors and visitors all conform to quality, health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
within the office and depot environment.
Seconded to the Planning Manger role for a period, with responsibility for both the corrective and preventative
maintenance planning and control of various fleets.
Technical Support Engineer Bombardier 2003 - 2006
Responsible for the day-to-day inspection and maintenance of the class 222 vehicles during test, commissioning, and
product introduction working in Belgium and Crofton.
Test and Commissioning & Maintenance Technician Bombardier 2002 - 2003
Responsibilities include testing to specified documentation, fault finding and rectification of faults following complex
circuit diagrams and cable books.
Electrical Systems Design Engineer Bombardier 1998 - 2001
Responsible for numerous design submissions on equipments such as Visual Passenger
Information Systems, Control Equipments and Vehicle Electrical Wiring.
