commissioning work flow within project timescales and to KPI targets.
 Maximo reporting of all work orders (planned and reactive), ensuring accurate reporting of labour and
tooling and component changes.
 Implementing and maintaining required governance standards, processes and guidelines (HSE, risk
assessment, in process checks and depot safety tours).
 Event investigation involving root cause analysis of any faults, producing briefs for toolbox talks.
 Highlight any issues with V.M.I’s, or tooling specific for the mod/fleet check, producing reports detailing
the issue and identifying any corrective measures.

Key Achievements
 On time delivery of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Modification Program for the S8 fleet. Currently on
target for Phase 1 of the S7 fleet.
 Surpassing London Undergrounds target for fleet reliability.
 Delivery of Bombardiers Error Reduction Tool (B.E.R.T.). A human factors initiative which saw a
significant reduction in the number of operator error related faults.
 Created a materials management system, for our material suppliers in Derby to access and track low
stock items ensuring continued work flow.
Modification Technician October 2012 – December 2013
Carried out a variety of modifications and fleet checks (mechanical, electrical, doors and software) on
Bombardiers new S-Stock fleet.
Responsibilities
 Follow V.M.I.’s to complete a variety of modifications and fleet checks. These could be mechanical, solid-
state electrical or on the door systems.

Underframe and Bogie detailed inspections and carrying out all types of remedial works as necessary.
Responsibilities
 Carried out detailed inspection of Class 315, 317 and 321 underframe’s and bogies to fault find any
problems/defects and compile a report of any problems found
 Gauged and inspected vehicle parts, including brake pads, brake discs and wheels, to ensure their safety,
or replacing where standards were not met
 Carrying out any remedial works, following the correct V.M.I’s, as they occur (changing primary, lateral and
yaw dampers, radial arms, self-levelling valves, leaking pipework etc.) and any subsequent testing such as
coach height testing, brake testing and timing and reporting all results.
 Liaising with team leaders, to report any faults and the necessary remedial works and organising the
technician assistants to ensure the necessary work was carried out efficiently and the unit could return to
service on time but also in severe circumstances, ensuring the unit was made “dud” if unsafe to go back
