Career History
Royal Signals Generator Electrician and Military Transport Manager Jul 2014 - Present.
 Management of an electrical team to provide power for field locations on exercise and
operations.
 Forecasting and supervising the servicing and maintenance for generators, vehicles and
electrical equipment.
 Manage vehicle and generator movement ensuring full compliance to transport policies
including ADR.
 Provide Health and Safety guidelines relevant to the department’s role.
 Implement the training and mentoring of new entrants. Design and certify a power distribution
plan in line with current wiring regulations.
 Repair, test and inspect vehicle box body electrical systems to comply with current wiring
regulations.
 Fault find and repair all in-service generators, power distribution systems and lighting
equipment.
 Carry out safety inspections of all in-service generators, power distribution systems and
lighting equipment.
 Advise the Chain of Command on all general and legal matters regarding generator, light and
power distribution systems.
 Execute on the job training of personnel, certifying advancement in their trade.
Training Analyst Aug 2012 - Jul 2014.
Managing the Royal Signals Electrician trade courses, during this period re-wrote both the class 3 and
class 1 trade course to fall in line with all relevant policies tied to electrical safety.
 Conduct job analysis and produce Job Specifications to meet Royal Signals operational and
return to Contingency requirements.
 Conduct external validation to capture the operational requirements of Royal Signals trades
and other specialist courses.
 Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) guidance to the training requirements authority and
training delivery authority.
Royal Signals Generator Electrician and Military Transport Manager Nov 2010 – Aug 2012.
Operational deployment to Afghanistan as the senior electrician support for the Helmand province.

Directly responsible for the annual mandated training for over 500 employees.
