2. My initial reaction for making a 90 second short film is that I should make the
plot simple but interesting at the same time. To do this I feel inclined to
include a Sci-Fi element or fantasy aspect to the story as appose to making a
story based in reality which may be hard to keep interesting with only 90
seconds to tell the story meaning any detail will be lost. I live in a small
village and know many people who live there, this means I will be able to use
it as the setting for my short film.
The first idea that came to mind is a time traveling watch that sends the main
character 5 minutes back in time. This could be made fairly easily and can be
shown without dialogue due to its simplicity. Furthermore it is more exiting
than a linear story when the time is so short.
In the story he might have some sort of accident to kick off the time travel
and to also add a shock factor to the beginning, getting people immersed.
I am good at cinematography of the production faze and feel that I am able to
make a well comprised shot list and final product. However I cant act and am
very bad at making a script that makes sense with appropriate start middle
and end with a climax and purpose.

In the light mood board (the First one) the colours are bright and
warm fairly consistently between the images. They are clear and
vibrant and give off a warm feeling and are positive. Even when the
image is of a accident it is less impactful as it is bright and not
gloomy. The main colours in the mood board are red, blue, orange
and yellow. The blue and yellow contrast each other making the
images stand out however the warm colours of
How will your mood board influence your final product?
