1. Dy.CE/ROB. Since 22-05-2015 with overall responsibilities of Road Over
Bridges and Level Crossings over E.Rly Jurisdiction: Planning and all
modifications for construction, elimination, upgrading, down grading etc in co-
ordination with Rly.departments, State authorities and other authorities.
2. Dy. Chief Safety Officer/E.Railway(4Years). 04-10-2012 till 22-05-2015:
Maintaining, monitoring and counseling safety practices through regular
inspections mostly including odd hours, Accident investigations, Disaster
management & planning, Safety audits and counseling staff, officers, public
and authorities. Many initiatives taken and new practices initiated got
appreciated. Regular duties at Zonal Training School at Bhuli, Dhanbad for
Eastern & East Central Railway Zones for imparting Training to Group- C

A. i) Construction of Barakar bridge (Important) on UP/GC (15 spans of 30m &

max.35m Depths in Groups of 12/14 piles) with Steel girders. Construction of
embankments and approach tracks and remodeling of existing yard alongwith
another Small bridge construction on running line. A project of above 100 crores.
ii) Construction of diversion Noonia Bridge (Major) with composite girders on
Rajdhani route in ASN division. Changing of 12 nos existing Bridge Girders( Steel)
with Composite girders.
iii) Construction of Ajay Bridge (Important), for more than a year.
B. With Dual charges of Construction of Embankments, Bridges (several Steel girder
Bridges), Culverts, Track in Doubling work of Sainthia-Andal section of Eastern
Railway.
C. Construction of BY-PASS line near Andal including embankment, culverts, track.
D. Construction of one Road over bridge at Durgapur station approach on one of the
busiest road / rail crossing (to cross 06 Rly. lines).
E. Construction of large workshop sheds in ANDAL, one of the largest yard of
Indian Rly.
F. Other civil construction works at different locations between Dhanbad &
Burdwan on GC/ Main line in Asansol Division of E.Rly.
G. Dealing several Court & Arbitration cases at high court and before Retd. Justices
of Supreme court / High courts, presenting cases in person.
H. Managing stores, office establishment, work force, contracts / contractors.
Other Achievements:
Appreciated / rewarded for minimizing derailments at HOWRAH from 57% to 06% on
track account in my 03 years tenure as A.EN/ Track /Howrah. Rewarded &
appreciated.
Initial construction ofMetro Rly/Kolkata over Tolly's canal in two last sections holding
dual charges for two years.
After construction handing over ofpremises damaged during initial Metro construction
sorting out legal litigations, started during my tenure- Rewarded by General Manger/
Metro Rly/Calcutta.
Encroachment removals ofmore than7000 premises done from Rly.property in SDAH
division- mostly without force in one year during 1996-97 while working in Sealdah
division/Kolkata. Rewarded by GM & Principal Chief Engineer.
Extensive works done in rehabilitation ofRly. Embankments, Bridges & prevention of
derailments in sections / yards all over E.RLY.
For the first time in Indian Railway, THROUGH MACHINE MAINTENANCE OF
RAILWAY TRACK was done in E.Rly under my direct supervision between Howrah -
Dhanbad- Mughalsarai & Mughalsarai - Danapur - Asansol routes.
RAJDHANIEXPRESS trial runs conducted between PATNA - MUGHALSARAI under

my supervision of Track & successfully launched in my short tenure of only about 06 months as
A.EN/Line/Danapur holding Dual charge of A.En/ Buxar at the time.
Academic Qualification

5. B.A from CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY as an external candidate while serving in E.RLY
during 1976-80.
