Jan 2001 – till date:
Working in United telecom’s Limited, Bangalore as Head R&D.
 Design of Optical Backbone systems like 40/80 Channel DWDM Systems from 2.5Gbps to
100Gbps per wavelengths, Multi Degree ROADM, OADM, Optical Line Amplifiers
(OLA) , Optical protection & cross connect equipments & SDH equipments to transport
at 800Gbps in single Mode fiber.
 Design of 10/100Gbps Transponders & Muxponder interfaces for DWDM application,
 Responsible for heading a group of 50+ R&D Engineers to provide System architecture
design requirements & solutions.
 Customer Approval / Certification (TEC/TSEC) process as per GR requirement
specifications.
Current project:
 Design & Development of 80 wavelength DWDM of each 10/100Gbps with Multi degree
ROADM supporting colorless, Directionless as per TEC GR requirement, supporting various
types of Transponders / Muxponders & multiservice cards at different data rates as per
Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC)-Department of telecommunication & ITU-T
recommendations.
 Working on GPON Technology i.e. OLT & ONT products for DIGITAL INDIA N/W to
connect 200,000 Gram Panchayats using FTTx application.
