Run bi-directional OTDR test on the field to ensure continuity of the link and prepare closure before splicing.
Splice all 96 core fiber to acceptable attenuation (0.03dB).
Submit all analyses report and modified As-built drawing after fiber cut permanent repairs
And fix up link with SLA/MTTR.
Cable pulling where necessary to bypass any trouble span within fiber route.
CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
Inspect all core status of the link using OTDR and Power meter test and calculate the loss budget in dB/km
Re-install all minor eroded points along fiber segment exposing the fiber ducts.
Inspect all pending jobs, check the status of all route markers in each segment
And replace all damaged route markers.
Record maintenance activities and send weekly reports of the route maintenance activities of my segment
to my back office in Lagos
