This document announces a keynote on "Competitive Europe and the transformation of the welfare state" to take place in Luxembourg on November 24, 2017. It features brief biographies of 13 speakers who will address topics related to competitiveness, the welfare state, and the European social and economic model. The speakers include academics from various universities and researchers from think tanks. The event will be chaired by Frédéric Allemand from the University of Luxembourg and Nikos Scandamis from the University of Athens.
