Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).[218] The objective of the
Convention is to prevent dangerous human interference with the climate system.[219]

In 2019, the British Parliament became the first national government in the world to
officially declare a climate emergency.[236] As at September 2019, nine countries
