O Allows processor to work more efficiently.
O Enables the processor to execute series of
instructions or threads at the same time.
O Provides two logical processor in a single
logical processor
O Is a technique used to improve parallelization
of computations performed on PC
microprocessor.

Hyper-Threading technology creates
two virtual processing cores for each
physical core present in a CPU.
O Multi-Core Technology
Multi-core technology, which is most
commonly available in dual-core, quad-
core and hexa-core CPUs, is a
technology that adds extra physical
processing cores.

O Intel’s Hyper-Threading Technology brings the
concept of simultaneous multi-threading.
O No performance loss if only one thread is
active.

  • 6. Introduction to hyper- threading O Allows processor to work more efficiently. O Enables the processor to execute series of instructions or threads at the same time. O Provides two logical processor in a single logical processor O Is a technique used to improve parallelization of computations performed on PC microprocessor.

  • 13. Difference Between Multi-Core and Hyper- threading O Hyper-Threading Technology Hyper-Threading technology creates two virtual processing cores for each physical core present in a CPU. O Multi-Core Technology Multi-core technology, which is most commonly available in dual-core, quad- core and hexa-core CPUs, is a technology that adds extra physical processing cores.
