1. Health and Safety Issue
How can you prevent it?
Due to the Display screen equipment regulations 1992 act safety in a
studio is trip hazards over computer/ laptop cables.
Tucking in all the wires and cables and making sure that they are not
in peoples pathways.
The periods of time that you are using computers for and the way
you are sat at them. Affecting your eyes and head. This is when
working in a studio.
Making sure you are sat not up close to the screen. Straighten back
to prevent an arched spine. Having a break from looking at the
screen every 45 minutes for 10 minutes to prevent your eyes from
straining.
Going out in a off site location to take photography for your project
To make sure you’re in a safe environment while you’re off college
grounds to take pictures then a risk assessment should be filled in to
be aware of the risks in that area.
Making sure your electronic technology is safe to work with.
To make sure you are safe when using your technology e.g.
computers, laptops and cameras then a PAT test must be carried out
to ensure they are safe to work with.
Drinking near the computers.
Drinking near the computers can be hazardous as you can spill the
liquid onto the computer and electrocute yourself. To make sure this
does not happen drinking away from the computer and making sure
no liquid goes near the computers in essential. This is due to the
health and safety Display screen equipment regulations 1992.
Including the Health and Safety legislation will improve your grade
