Relevant Work Experience
Intern (Manufacturing Engineer) -Airtech International, Huntington Beach, CA
June 2014- October 2014
June 2015- October 2015
 Designed parts/ structures in CAD (Catia) for composite manufacturing equipment and
helped in composite manufacturing and application testing.
 Created Engineering Drawings of parts/ structures in Catia.
 Managed part fabrication with external contractors.
 Assisted with finished part installation and commissioning.
 Provided company training for over 100 employees on subject matter relating to newly
designed equipment procedures.
 Solely conducted energy conservation project to replace halogen lighting with
programmable LED lighting throughout the plant, resulting in $60,000 rebate.
 Oversaw the entire process of procuring and installing a new (130 Cooling Ton) water
chiller for growing cooling needs of the manufacturing plant.
 Performed numerous thermodynamic calculations regarding different conditions
contributing to the necessary cooling capacity of the new chiller.
 Conducted research regarding different types of chillers (benefits/ drawbacks).
 Considered necessities of the chiller and chose the best fitting options available with said
chiller for the application.
 Designed (CAD) louvered enclosure structure for the new chiller.
 Oversaw contracting of third party PE structural analysis safety approval of the louvered
enclosure.
 Designed flow system to include the new chiller in a system with the existing chiller to
increase the total cooling capacity.
 Conducted numerous fluid flow calculations in order to properly size pumps, pipes, and
valves for the multi-chiller configuration.
Academic Projects
Foldable Surfboard Fin -Team Project (March 2015- May 2015)
 Designed and prototyped foldable surfboard fin to make storage and transportation of
surfboards easier.
 FEA analysis of fin under expected loads.
 Fluid flow analysis of the surfboard fin to minimize drag.
CubeSat Solar Array- Northrup Grumman -Team Project (September 2015- Present)
 Creating solid models and engineering drawing of structural components in Solidworks
in order to manufacture a functional prototype that will deploy then track the sun.
 Conducting Stress Analysis (FEA) of all mechanisms using Solidworks.
 Researching and choosing proper space appropriate components and materials.
 Vibrational and acceleration testing to simulate launch loads into orbit.
3/3
Personal Projects

 Custom built 24V DC belt driven tricycle
 Carries approx. 200lbs at 15 mph
Chainsaw Motor Driven Bicycle
 Custom motor mount designed to attach chainsaw motor to bicycle for direct drive
 Carries approx. 200lbs at 25 mph
Composite Skateboard Project
 Built fiberglass molds with polyester gel coat based on plaster original molds.
 Use vacuum pump and vacuum bags to create boards.
 Skateboards have carbon fiber walls with aramid honeycomb core to save weight.
 Essentially a composite sandwich panel conformed to a mold
Spot Welder
 Homemade spot welder using microwave oven transformer
 Replace secondary windings in transformer with 2 loops of 1 gauge wire to increase
amperage
Electric Guitar
 Homemade electric guitar body
 Hand wound electromagnetic pickups
