1. I have chose the Khaki North Face bubble coat because it is a popular
brand and a popular style of coat which will be vital in presenting the
stark contrast between the protagonist in normal life and in the dream
and connecting to my target audience as it is relatable. Moreover, it is
likely that my music video will be set in Winter and therefore a thick
coat would present the fact that it is winter. I have chose this colour
because it is a popular clothing colour for North Face tracksuits and
therefore my teenage target audience can relate.
Similarly, the Adidas joggers are important in connecting to my target
audience, considering the popularity of this piece of clothing.
Furthermore, these joggers will give the audience an insight into the
type of character my protagonist is because the joggers are classed as
sportswear and therefore the audience may be able to deduce that he
has an interest in sport and perhaps goes to a sport college. This adds
context to the video, which may interest the audience more.
The Adidas Munchens will be his footwear because it links to the
casual nature of the protagonist and is therefore relatable to my
youthful target audience.
This costume will be seen first, as the protagonist is walking into his
house. This will be seen only in the narrative aspects of my music
video.
2. Brooklyn Richardson
• I have chose the simple grey t – shirt
because it represents the simplicity of the
protagonist life in the dream as he has
ultimate control over his life. Furthermore,
the simplicity of the grey t shirt reflects
how Folk music avoids the mainstream.
• I have chose blue jeans because they are
synonymous to the Folk genre. I know this
because I have researched many Folk
artists (Newton Faulkner, Bob Dylan and
Don McLean) and they wear blue denim
jeans.
• The reason behind choosing the popular
Adidas Haven is that the protagonist has to
wear something that resembles his normal
self, because he is aware that he has delved
into a dream. This will be relatable to my
target audience as Adidas shoes are very
popular at this moment in time.
• This costume is the second costume and
will be seen when the protagonist wakes
up in his dream and he will be wearing this,
to signify that the protagonist is in an
alternate reality.
