This document describes a project to automatically open doors based on detecting a person's body temperature to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The system uses an ATmega328p microcontroller, a temperature sensor to measure body temperature, and servo motors to open the doors. It can help make entry into public places like offices and buildings safer by only opening the doors for people who don't have a fever. The touchless design also avoids surfaces like door handles that can spread germs. Overall, this automatic door system aims to reduce virus transmission and promote safety during the pandemic.

2. ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project is to automatically open the door
by detecting body temperature of a person.
In fact, this project is to prevent patients with covid 19 virus
from entering offices & buildings etc. To a certain extent,
guarantee the safety of the living environment.
It would be helpful in many public places and in reducing the
spread of corona virus.

3. INTRODUCTION
During this pandemic situation the virus SARS Co-V 2, which
causes the disease known as COVID-19 coronavirus, is more
stable on plastic and stainless steel than on cardboard or
copper.
To avoid this direct contact of virus we can use non touchable
automatic doors which detects the temperature of a person
while entering.

4. NEED FOR THIS PROJECT
In recent research the new England journal of medicine
suggests that SARS CoV 2, which causes the disease known as
COVID-19 coronavirus, is more stable on plastic and stainless
steel than on cardboard or copper:
"The longest viability of both viruses was on stainless
steel and plastic; the estimated median half-life of SARS-CoV-2
was approximately 5.6 hours on stainless steel and 6.8 hours on
plastic”. To avoid this type of spreading this automatic door open
based on body temperature system is built.

5. AUTOMATIC DOORS
It’s a simple technology that could help to stop the spreading
of corona virus
The need to install automatic doors has become more
important to avoid physical touch during the pandemic
situations
The touchless solution to open doors in times of covid-19
pandemic is ideal for maintaining a contact-free entry and exit.

7. ATMEGA328P
Heart of the Arduino
High performance & (RISC)Reduced Instruction Set
Computer architecture.
It is an 8-bit microcontroller
Voltage range : 1.8v to 5.5v
7
8. IR SENSOR
A IR is a infrared sensor used to measure and detect infrared
radiation in its surrounding environment
Operating range : 5v DC
Range : 20cm
8
9. LCD 16X2
An electronic device that is used to display data and the
message is known as LCD 16×2.
It includes 16 Columns & 2 Rows so it can display 32
characters
Voltage range : 4.7V to 5.3V
9
10. SERVO MOTOR
A servo motor is a rotary or linear actuator that allows precise
control of angular or linear position, velocity, and acceleration.
It consists of a suitable motor coupled to a position feedback
sensor.
Operating voltage : 4.8 V to 6 V
10
11. BUZZER
11
An audio signalling device
Powered through DC voltage
Sound pressure level is 85dBA or 10cm
Frequency range : 3300Hz
12. CABLE TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Cable temperature sensors are used as signal sensors for
thermometers, regulators, and electronic thermostats
These sensors can be used to measure or monitor temperature,
and they can be mounted directly on it.
Range : -200 °C to 1300 °C
12
14. ADVANTAGES
Prevents the spread of germs & viruses
High; level of safety
Operating quietly and fast
Easy to build
Best way to avoid people who have been affected by the
virus.

17. CONCLUSION
The design of this prototype uses an ATmega328p
microcontroller with IR sensor ,Temperature sensor as input
and servo motor , buzzer ,LCD 16X2 as output.
The temperature of a person entering is continuously
monitored by the temperature sensor and displayed in the
LCD.
It can be implemented to avoid crowding and spread of
viruses.
