ORGANIZATION
CELL is known to be the
basic building block of
life. It performs various
metabolic functions like
providing structure and
rigidity to the body,
converting food into
nutrients and energy,
and others.
Basically, a TISSUE
is a group of
interconnected
cells that perform
the same function.
Coming from the Latin
word organum which
means “tool” or
“instrument”, an ORGAN
is a collection of tissues
and similar structures
that all function as one.

structures that perform
a certain physiological

1. State the organ system of plants base on the
picture.
2. How do the flowers, leaves, and stems help plants
meet their basic needs?
3. What do think will happen to the plant if any of
the parts that make up the shoot system were
injured or diseased?
4. Aside from absorbing water and nutrients, what
other functions do the roots serve?
5. What do you think will happen to the roots if the
tissues that make them up were injured or
diseased?
6. If the roots were injured or diseased, what do
you think will happen to the plant?
