3. Causes of Trash
● Lack of proper garbage collection
● Improper disposal mechanisms
● People do not put time aside to dispose of trash in the right places.
● People see trash lying around but do not take the time to clean it up
● Public services ,such as construction, often tend to leave large amounts of
trash lying around which labels communities as “trashy”

4. Effects of Trash
● The garbage can harbor rats and fleas that carry harmful diseases.
● Diseases will spread
● Communities will be unlivable because of garbage pile up.
● Burning garbage is known as the worst air pollution there is because it will
release harmful chemicals in the air which will affect the quality of the air
we breath.
● Methane and other greenhouse gases are emitted into the air that help
generate fires
● Waterways are becoming drastically affected by littering, and this is
causing them to be hazards for animals and humans
● Makes a beautiful place look bad.

Not only our beautiful campus of East Hamilton, our world that we live in is
becoming over run by the trash. Driving down the highways or roads now a
days, you will see trash and then a little bit of grass on the side of the road.
Trash is destroying our beautiful environment. Trash can spread diseases and
also can harbor rats and fleas that carry harmful diseases. Landfills are
growing everyday. One way to reduce this is to get rid of your trash the proper
way and please Reduce Reuse Recycle.
