Poulluted air is bad for all living things. It causes allergies, breathing

Due to polluted air , plants and trees around us cannot prepare their food
properly. This slows down their growth.

Plant more trees get fresh and clean air.
Walk to places that are nearby instead of using a vehicle.
Use public transport instead of using your personal vehicle.

Factories and industries must be surrounded by green areas.
They must be built away from areas where people live.

All living beings need water to live. Life is not possible without water. How does
water get polluted ? Water gets polluted when:
Household and factory waste is dumped in water bodies
Medicines sprayed by farmers on plants to kill insects get mixed with the water
used for irrigation and flows into rivers, streams and rivers

of water pollution are
Polluted water makes us sick. Some diseases like like
typhoid and jaundice spread through water.
Both plants and animals get affected due to polluted water.
Fish that live in polluted water get affected by pollution
when we eat these fish, we become ill.
How do we solve this problem of water pollution? We can do
this b not polluting our water bodies. The government tells
us to do and keep our water bodies clean.

Land and soil also get polluted careless actions like:
Throwing garbage like household wastes in the open
Use of harmful chemical fertilisers by farmers
Throwing polythene bags and plastic items in the open.
Wastes from factories
The pollution of land or soil makes the soil infertile by harming the organisms living in the
soil.
13. Noise pollution
We hear so many sounds every day. Some are plesant that
do not disturb us but some are very loud and shrill. We call
them noise. Too much noise causes noise pollution. These
affect our ears and even make us deaf.

14. Noise pollution disturbs the environment and all living
beings in it. It causes irritation, loss of hearing and
sleep disturbances. We all should try to do our bit to
reduse noise pollution. The government has taken
steps to stop noise pollution. We must follow what the
government tells us to do and live in a noise free
world
16. Case study 1: The residents of hesatu village in jharkhand
have converted and entire wasteland into a forest. Around 93
families from the village have planted more that one lakh
trees on about 365 acres of wasteland. They made this
programme successful,all on their own.

the best way to save the environment.

also being carried out by our government. Many
individuals are also conducting tree plantation
programmes. We all must help to keep the earth
clean and green.
