Talk to the providers and developing a working relationship with them on how they like their
charts to appear before seeing their patients.
Have the staff review my charting abilities and learn how to improve.
Development/Implementation Goal: learn how to better address and critically
think like an advance patient-care provider via the following:
Talk and discuss patient cases with the providers and learn how they think and address their
individual patient cases.
Learn assessment and examination skills by shadowing the providers on certain patients.
Provide the providers my thoughts and discussion on certain patients’ treatment options and
how I would address each patient, as if I was a provider.
9. Evaluation Goal: describe and discuss how the Sullivan Center addresses at-risk
populations in the local community via the following
Discuss with the medical staff about certain populations they focus upon, why, and how?
Learn the objectives of the Center via their program’s goals.
Observing, and working, with the staff to see how they accomplish the above goals.
Affective Goal: better discuss and describe care provided by advance patient care
practitioners in a primary-care setting, as I will be attending the MUSC PA program
in May via the following:
Discuss with the providers about their roles in patient care and how they have transitioned from
basic medical care to a more advanced role as providers.

affect the healthcare system as a new PA.
Observe how the providers interact, work with and treat their patients during the internship.

18. Overall, the experience was unique and diversified while I interned at
the JFSC at Clemson University. It is a diverse clinic and offers a variety
of healthcare services to the employees of Clemson and underserved
populations of the upstate; during my time at the Center, it reinforced
why I want to be a Physician Assistant. I thoroughly look forward to
starting my PA education at the Medical University of South Carolina
and possibly working with the staff and fellow interns in the future.
