• Through chart reviews, compiled Abbreviated Injury Scores (AIS), maintained compliance of the American
College of Surgeons, Level 1 Trauma distinction.
• Participated in M&M’s to identify injuries for AIS from Coroner’s office.
Patient Care Associate (EMT-I) - Emergency Department January, 2006 - October,

• As an integral member on a healthcare team in a level-1 trauma and ED unit, providing in-patient care and

Patient Service Commendations: Awarded eight separate recognition stars in the “StarGram

• Managed a High School Health Clinic, dispensing medications, maintaining Student service records and
delivering prompt and accurate medical care to over 1,200 Students and 100-plus Staff Members. Utilized
advanced EMT-I skills in the performance of occupational duties.
Security Responsiveness: Led research, development and implementation of a customized
Emergency Response Container due to a security breach in the High School. Collaborated with central
office Nurse, Washington Township EMS and Student Resource Officer. As a result, school district
mandated this emergency solution in all medical clinics.
Leadership: Initiated processes and procedures for the successful care and treatment in a newly
structured medical clinic, centered in a High School Band camp environment, serving 300-plus Band
Members, Staff and Volunteers. Processes included the creation of medical treatment procedures,
documentation, defining and scheduling of clinic responsibilities. As a result, this organized medical
clinic continues successful operation year-to-year.
2. Cultural Outreach Planning and Implementation: Ascertained a need within the school district to
provide a “Learn to Read” program for Hispanic population. Engaged the Ohio Literacy Coalition
organization to assist in the delivery of program logistics, resulting in participation of over fifty families.

• Volunteered in level-1 Emergency Department on the Trauma Committee. This group is chartered to
improve the medical outcome of patients during a trauma, through changes in procedures and
implementation.
Scheduling Volunteer
• Served as a member of the scheduling committee, insuring that hourly employees can properly balance their
work schedules, school and family time, while meeting the needs of the hospital.
Hospital Community Outreach
• As a team member of the “Unit Leadership Council”, spearheaded a year-end fundraiser, established to
benefit the “Ohio Youth Advocacy Program” in Central Ohio. Our results in this drive gained the OSU
Medical Center recognition as the largest fund raising organization for this non-profit agency.
