1. What kind of media institution
might distribute your media
product and why?
Question Three
2. • I would like my magazine to be part by one of Europe’s largest
publishers. Bauer have 80 brands which circulate around
19,000,000 people. Their audience are large and 4 out of 10
people experience at least one of their products.
• On Bauer’s website it states: "Our business is built on millions
of personal relationships with engaged audiences.”This
reveals that my magazine will be supported and develop
further into multi plat formed brand by using Bauer’s great
knowledge in the magazine industry. This would lead the
magazine to evolve online as well as radio and television.
There are other publishing groups such as IPC media but I
believe that Bauer will push Shuffle to its full potential and
attract an audience.
3. To distribute my magazine, I would use the UK’s
biggest distributer Frontline. Frontline sells and
distributes over 160 magazine titles which include 54
of the top 200 selling titles in the UK. They publish
magazines such as Q and Mojo. Due to being so
successful, Frontline would be my first choice.
If Shuffle were associated with Frontline it could be
beneficial for the circulation of my magazine as the
company raise money for causes, therefore showing
the audience a positive view due to Frontline’s
fundraising.
