1. Screedcrete™ from RMC Readymix (India) is a concrete that can be laid onto either cast in situ concrete floor slab or onto a pre cast
concrete floor unit. It serves dual purpose by acting as a protective layer over reinforced concrete on which it is laid, and also acts as a
base for specified flooring or finish. Reinforcement for the product can be either fine metal mesh or polypropylene fibres depending
upon the site conditions or the loads which it would be exposed.
Screedcrete™ is designed and produced in such a way that it has the ability to flow under its own weight without vibration, and the
ability to retain homogeneity without segregation. Maximum size of aggregates is restricted to 10mm. The product may be directly
bonded to the base with a minimum thickness of 40mm, if laid unbonded onto a suitable damp proof membrane placed over the slab,
the thickness should be atleast 50mm, alternatively if applied as a floating finish over a layer of rigid insulation material it should
have a thickness of 65mm or more. Depending upon the client’s requirement a concrete tailor made to provide the desired levels of
workability and the compressive strengths can be designed and produced.
