4. ROLE OF CIET IN EDUCATION
• To design and produce media software especially mass
media
• To optimise the utilisation of EDUSAT communication
technologiesand terrestrial transmission on National
channels
• To explore and infuse the appropriate and critical use of
interactive digital content, web based communication
and participatory networks
• To undertake research and evaluation studies

5. ROLE OF CIET IN EDUCATION contd.
• Documentation of eduactional media programmes
• Dissemination of media programmes and through
broadcast and non broadcast modes
• Organise capacity building programmes for teachers and
teacher educators in concepts and applications of
techniques
• To advice and coordinate academic and technical
programmes of SIETs
• To provide consultancy to institutions in the
development, utilisation and evaluation of Educational
Technologies
