4. With the recognition of ICT as a valuable learning tool, students quite literally have an infinite amount of knowledge at their finger tips. (but with tightening OH&S legislation, we couldn’t have stage 5 History Students scaling the top shelf of this library to grab a book on the Effects of war !!!!)

9. One brilliant digital artefact is the free audio recording program Audacity. The students, instead of just reading and regurgitating information about, for example, the effects of war, students could create podcasts, audio blogs, even their own song! CLICK ME! CLICK ME! CLICK ME!

12. One not so reputable digital artefact would be wikipedia. TEACHER: How did you come to this conclusion? Was the Information from a trustworthy source? STUDENT: Of course it was. I didn’t get it from wikipedia, I’m not that lazy…
15. WIKIPEDIA IS NOT GOING TO ENGAGE STUDENTS WITH SUBJECT CONTENT. THE INFORMATION THEY LEARN MAY BE FALSE, BIASED, OR COMPLETELY MISGUIDED AND INCORRECT.
16. In order to nurture student learning to engage and prompt further learning, analysis and opinion, students need reliable, accessible and engaging material. (the internet)
