9. What is Wikipedia? Wikipedia is a free encyclopaedia on everything, but more accurately it is the collective facts from numerous sources on every possible concept. Wikipedia has been in use for quite sometime now and is very common in today’s society.

10. Why is Wikipedia bad? Incorrect or false information. Unreliable sources. Plants an unethical or ‘lazy’ approach to research within students. Too common; has now become the ‘go to’ or ‘one stop shop’ site for all information. Unless students understand how to utilise Wikipedia properly it should not be used.

12. Conclusion The quality of any artefact is ultimately dependant upon how the teacher uses it. As technology and society advance, a greater need for innovative teaching techniques and the tools or artefacts used in education will arise. It is therefore important to understand the implications of different artefact usage and also know the alternative artefacts that could be used for different situations.
