2. What is teaching strategy?
– There are different definitions of teaching strategy and one can simply define it
as methods that are being used by the teachers/lecturers to facilitate or deliver
the content
– Strategies are chosen based on the topic, class size, resources and different
learners that are in the classroom
– The strategy chosen must accommodate every learners and cover different skills
– Must keep the learners engaged
5. FISHBOWL
– According to (Mira,2019), “fishbowl is a discussion among students in an inner
circle surrounded by an outer circle of silent active listeners”.
– The inner circle is presented with a topic and asked to give information on that
topic
– The outer part or circle observe and listen to the inner circle’s presentation of
the information
– Roles may be swapped
7. JIGSAW
– Divide learners into groups of 5 to 6
– Divide the lesson into six segments
– Give learners time to read through the segment and gather as much
information as possible
– Learners must then share the information with one another
– Jigsaw is a collaborative activity with a twist
9. GROUP DISCUSSION
– According to (Killen, 2015), “discussion is an orderly process of group
interaction in which learners are exchanging ideas, listening to a variety of
points of views, expressing and exploring their own views, applying their
knowledge and reflecting on their attitudes and values”.

– Identify the issue or problem

– It is an approach to learning that emphasize learners role in learning
– Foster curiosity in learners
– Deepens learners understanding of topics
– Allow learners to take charge of their learning
15. CO-OPERATIVE LEARNING
– It is a combination of classroom based with practical work experience
– Allow learners to think critically
– Using variety of learning activities
– Allowing learners to work together
17. VISUALIZATION
– It is a method of using images, diagrams and animations to communicate the
message of deliver the content
– Giving learners diagrams or images about a certain topic to interpret them
– Paring the information with diagrams and images to create a clear insight
– Gives learner a clear of the information presented
