• Review the organization structure of the department keeping in view the work load
• Finalize the headcount plan and review job descriptions of the departmental

• Select suppliers/contractors by making sufficient evaluation of capabilities and price

• Manage lead time in such a manner that minimum time is required between ordering
and distribution, so that inventory cost is minimized.
• Take regular inventory of materials so that unused material in a project could be
consumed in other projects within shortest possible time.
• Ensure that all meetings are held regularly as per meeting matrix.
• Maximize the use of IT related services and gradually automate the activities of the
department.
• Nurture ethical practices and regularly mentor motivate subordinates on ethical
values

Responsibilities:
• Initiate proactive derive to discover new sources of raw materials.
• Formulate where to make and what to make or buy decisions.
• Integrate overall organizational strategy with supply strategy.
• Look for sourcing contractors and other purchasing decisions.
