3. Duties and Responsibilities
• Implement safety standards/procedures at work place. Preparation & sending
safety report daily, monthly /annually as per statute
• Monitor and record the effectiveness of the HSE policies, Procedures and
existing work methods.
• Conduct regular evacuation drills and exercises as per emergency response
plan.
• Analysis/Investigation of incidents and accidents.
• Conduct HSE inspection and participate in HSE audits on established
procedures on regular basis with site Supervisors and client. Prepare audit
report and monitor on corrective or preventive actions and ensure that safe
working practices are followed.
• Rectify the potential hazards, which have not been identified and ensure that
the controls measures are in place and it is included in the hazard register
before the start of work.
• Ensure that personal protective equipments are adequate, maintained and
appropriate for use with respect to the specific job hazards.
• Improve HSE awareness and consciousness amongst all employees by various
training, posters, films, handouts, etc.
• Ensure that emergency equipment and procedures are adequate to take care of
an emergency.
• Accomplished Manager's in maintaining highest quality standards to avoid time
and cost expenditures.
• Conduct Tool box talk and advise the site Engineers/Supervisors for any
unsafe practices or condition.
• Preparing daily Site Walkthrough reports and Near miss / Hazard Reports.
• Develop and maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness at
all levels of employees.
• Identity the training needs and inform the Management regarding training for all
levels of site employees and ensure the trainings are conducted regularly.
• Update the training matrix as and when training has been conducted &
forwards a copy to the Head Office on monthly basis including subcontractors.
• Investigate all reported unsafe actions/near misses and advise management
the corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Assist management in investigating all accidents and incidents.
• Provide topics for Toolbox Talks and monitor participation by all and Sub
Contractors personnel. Assist line management and Supervisors for
presentation of toolbox talks as and when required.
