Some of the notable projects are;
 Led an engagement in developing an operating model, organisation structures, for a diversified group of companies covering different industries
including restaurants, retail fashion, real estate, telecom, energy, security, and investment,
 Led an engagement to review the costing methodology of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) in costing various products of the refinery. As
part of the engagement, we visited the refineries and understood the entire process of how each product was produced to come up with a model to
costing the main products and by-products. Our recommendations were very well received by the board of directors.
 Led an engagement to develop policies and authority matrix and mapped over 100 processes covering Finance, HR, IT, Business Development,
Engineering (Project Management), Procurement and core operations for business units in the restaurant, fashion retail, and real estate.
 Led an engagement to assess the management reporting pack produced to the Board of Directors (BOD) and all management reports of the finance
department of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC). As part of the recommendation, developed a monthly and quarterly management review
report incorporating management reporting and management accounting best practices with more in-depth variance analysis by discussing the
operational aspect with financial results. Trained staff on new management accounting tools and development of the reporting pack. The report was
well received and approved by the BOD on the first instant it was presented to them without any changes.
 Designed, developed and delivered customized training modules for staff of, Kuwait’s national refinery on management accounting specialization on
the oil and gas industry. Also designed a comprehensive customized 3 year training plan “FAST-TRACK” for KNPC staff members covering the under
graduates and seasoned professionals, Central Bank of Kuwait and leading financial institutions in Kuwait.
 Developed new management reports introducing up to level 3 variance analysis for KNPC and management reporting pack for University of the Middle
East (AUM) affiliated to Purdue University in the USA,
 Got certified as a train the trainer and lectured for ACCA qualification for management accounting, performance management and financial
management papers which received very good feedback from both student and management.

Some of my notable contributions and achievements are;
 Initiated a six sigma project and recovered over GBP 1 million from the business partners (Barclays, Asda, HSBC etc.) of AVIVA as contractual
expenses.
 Lead the diagnostics team in several client sites to understand what type of services can be offered to enhance their efficiency, effectiveness and
profitability by offshoring.
 Managed the AVIVA operations which include creating, monitoring and reporting the status of the Master Plan, initiating and driving various
projects, ensuring a robust control environment is established.
 Migrated high end finance, accounting and management reporting processes with detailed process documentation.
 Deployed a robust control environment for the offshored AVIVA high end finance, accounting and management reporting processes by drafting and
reviewing more than 160 FMEAs (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) across all processes offshored to Sri Lanka and training over 200 employees on
the tool.
 Analyzed the skills, qualification and experience required to perform the recommended high end accounting and reporting processes onshore and led
the recruitment campaign, coordinated the logistics and ensured timely delivery of resources as per project timelines.
 Obtained the ISO 9001 certification for all migrated processes of the Business Partners. Created the Master Plan to govern the operations of the Sri
Lankan office and monitored and reported the status to the senior management and the client on a weekly/ monthly basis.
 Planned and delivered an offsite leadership workshop based on the concepts of the “Good to Great” book for more than 180 employees in 2006 which
was highly commended by the senior management.

 Designed and implemented a new payroll and HR system across the lingerie cluster by liaison with the software vendor. Also contributed in
standardizing and designing new management reports across all clusters and reported the project progress in several parameters on a monthly
basis.
 Drove new initiates and programs with the external consultants (Thomas group, USA) to improve overall performance and streamlined processes to
improve efficiency and productivity of the department
 Authorized to review and approve all pricing cost sheets and procurement sheets for new orders and ensured the orders are shipped on time by
coordinating with the supply chain, production and shipping departments. The decision taken by me can be overwritten only by the CEO.
 An initiative was driven to reduce the losses incurred in stock write offs by coordinating with the procurement and production department and
generated additional revenues by analyzing and disposing written stocks including fabric and accessories.
 Trained the entire staff on the new payroll and HR system and carried out induction for the new recruits and rolled out programs for team building and
motivational activities. Ensured the HR department is compliant with the prevailing labour regulations, buyers code of conduct and guidelines of the
