3. Hi everyone I am Mrs. Minnie Martin. I currently teach
fifth grade at South Delta Elementary School. I am a
graduate of Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. My
mission is ensuring that all students in the class feel a
sense of belonging. I am here to help each and everyone of
you reach your full potential. We will be our family away
from our family at home. We will love each other and treat
each other with respect. My goal is to make sure you leave
with more knowledge than you came with.

5. 1. Upon entering the classroom, put away backpacks,
coats, and other personal belongings.
2. Say Pledge of Allegiance together after the bell
3. Student of the day will sharpen all pencils and pass
out writing paper
4. Do bell ringer on the board
5. Place homework on the right side of the desk for
pick-up
6. All students will participate in all lessons of the day
7. If leaving the room, you must use the hall pass

6. 8. Restroom breaks are used by by 20/20 rule ( 20/20 rule
is the first 20 minutes after the first bell and the last 20
minutes of class) unless an emergency
9. Groups are assigned by the teacher
10. Lunch time-each row is called by the teacher
11. Use inside voices in the cafeteria
12. Ask permission to get items from the teacher’s desk
13. Free time( read a book, finish up assignments)
14. Student of the day will put away supplies
15. Dismissal will be done by the teacher calling rows.

3 pks of college ruled notebook paper 1 pk of blue pens
1 pk of Highlighters 1 pk of black pens
2 Bottles of Hand Sanitizer 1 pair of scissors
1 Box of Colorful Markers
1 Ruler
5 pronged folders ( 1 for each subject)
2 Composition Notebooks
3 Glue Sticks
1 pk of Construction Paper

10. Tardy
1. Tardy means you are late for class
2. You are tardy after the second bell rings
3. If you are tardy, you must get an office pass to enter
into the classroom.
Absent
1. If you are absent you must bring a excuse for
absenteeism.
2. If you bring a doctor’s excuse, it will be sent to the
office to be noted.
3. Constant absenteeism will be reported to the truancy
office.
