3. Synopsis
A house, at 11:30 at night is silent apart from the radio.
Corpses. Everywhere. Blood is dripping on the walls and
balloons everywhere. A lone man sits and just watches this
standstill on a chair at the back of the room. He must have
done it, but why?
Narrative and Performance
The killer will be played in a disturbed manner intimidating
and frightening. He seems to be sadistic enjoys what he is
doing and has a very dark sense of humor, which is shown in
the film.
The corpses will be bloodied in the face with the majority of
them with their eyes open and in positions that would
assumed by someone who is alive (e.g. one is sitting upright
directly looking at Balloon.)
One victim will be seen alive in a mash-up of the killer’s
actions within the house. He will be only alive character seen
within the household outside of the killer. This is done to
give more depth to the killer’s actions as to how people
would react when he was killing him.
Some of the performances in the film will be deliberately
cheesy as the plot in itself is rather cheesy in a B-movie
sense. This will be done to show that the production is very
self-aware in what it is trying to achieve and it will not be
taken 100% seriously as a film by the audience. This would
allow them to have a bit of fun with the film despite the
Horror elements and violence.
Plot Outline
Beginning:
The sequence will start with the camera zoomed in on a
dead corpse in the centre of the room. The camera will
4. slowly zoom out and show the scale of death within the
room. A murderer will sit on the chair directly in front of the
corpse at the start of the film.
Middle:
The camera will show the man take his mask of and contact
the police about the murders in the household. He will then
take the lollipop out of his mouth he is sucking and walk
across the room.
End:
The man will put the lollipop into the mouth of the first
corpse and walk of the room.

Mise en scene
The dead bodies will get the opportunity to wear what they
want but if shooting takes more than one day. Their
costumes must remain identical to keep continuity within
the story.
5. The killer will be wearing a navy blue wool coat and a
distinctive horse mask to hide his face. This is done so two
people of a similar height can play the killer without it being
noticeable in tracking shots so I can control the camera
while the other person can play the killer.
The whole picture will shot in black and white and will
follow in a similar style to the old silent horror films of the
early twenties. This is done to set it apart from other
modern Horror films, which would be released during this
age. It is almost a tribute to the first impactful Horror films
to be ever released but it has been given a modern twist.
Location and props
I have chosen to film at my house at night, as it will create an
atmosphere for a party easily and it has the ideal space for
some of the more complex shots. It also gives of the
impression that the victims of the massacre were completely
innocent. This will further elevate the evil premise behind
the nameless killer. The props used within the film will
include a horse mask on the serial killer. This is obviously to
hide his face but it is also used to add an element of dark
humor into the film’s narrative. Horse Masks are not
traditionally seen as intimidating and often seen as
humorous. Audiences often describe them as ‘derpy’ as it is
hard to take them seriously. This sort of self-awareness
within the film will make audiences more entertained
without taking out of the experience entirely. There will also
be the use of fake blood to emphasize the violence in the
films as well as a kitchen knife, which will be used as the
primary weapon. There will also be balloons placed around
the location so the title becomes relevant to the story.
