22 Years’ experience within the banking industry, with over 13 years of extensive data analysis and
report building. Proficient in SAS and SQL programming to extract, manipulate, analyse and report
data. Also expert in Microsoft Office and create reporting outputs using various Microsoft Office

2. Sainsburys Bank
Position Held Contractor – Data Analyst for New Bank Programme
July 2014- Current time
Responsibilities/Activities
• Using SAS, responsible for the analysis of Credit Risk Loan decline and referral
policy rules for the Sainsburys New Bank Programme and making
recommendations on the value of these policy rules based on analysis.
• Review and analysis on external bureau data and bureau retro data in
conjunction with Credit Risk Scoring models to support the Credit Risk Card
team and making recommendations on “Good” versus “Bad” behaviour
scorings.
• Provided insight / feedback at various migration system data mapping
workshops for Loans, Card and rescheduled products from current host systems
(Base 2000, FTC, Cardpac, CACS, FBS and Debt Manager V4.1) to New Bank
target systems (Base 2000, Profile and Debt Manager V9) and ensured that all
critical data fields were captured and mapped over.
• Assisted in the design of Collections & Recoveries policies and strategies
including trigger points for the New Bank Target Operating Model.
• Input into various system interface workshops with third party suppliers to
ensure the correct transfer of data and account rules including a number of
operational directives and cycle entry points.
• Collated all Collection and Recoveries MI reporting requirements & Credit Risk
(Cards & Loans) reporting requirements for New Bank and responsible for

• Undertook a reporting gap analysis piece and made recommendations for a
whole suite of reporting required for Collections & Recoveries in the New Bank
programme. This will help to drive the Collections and Recoveries business and
strategies forward. Reports included Third Party Governance & Assurance
reporting, internal Compliance reporting and regulatory exception reporting.
• Performed “deep dive” analysis on the Recoveries portfolio to assist with data
cleansing prior to migration of accounts to the new target systems. Through this
analysis, identified numerous accounts which are on incorrect strategies, work
flow routers and internal status codes. Presented findings and provided full
commentary / feedback to the Recoveries Manager.
• Collated reconciliation requirements for Collections & Recoveries across all
required systems for the New Bank programme. Attended various workshops
and challenged back to third parties involved to ensure all critical data fields for
Collections and Recoveries were captured.
