analyzing and documenting existing procedures to enable effective and efficient improvements. This was
achieved by modeling the “As Is” and “To Be” processes, carrying out protocol analysis to ascertain and
validate processes to capture periodic reports and carry out full test cycle on the Cert domain to ascertain the
functionality of the PAS systems

system as well as carry out proper testing of this PAS System to certify its fit for purpose.

Cerner Business Analyst and Configuration Lead. Oct 2012- July 2013.
Project Objective: Unified Clinical Messaging Project (UCMP) is a project designed to provide
technical functionality that will facilitate the reduction of printing resource consumption at GP practices across
the Wirral. My role is to manage and deploy clinical systems that will reduce reliance on paper for
communication of clinical documentation from secondary to primary care through the use of electronic data
interchange (EDI).
Key Responsibilities:-
• Carry out Business analysis of current Business process with regards to Discharge summaries in A&E,
Outpatient and Inpatient.
• Carry out requirement gathering of Business process by liaising with Clinicians and reviewing process
changes.
• Analyzing and documenting current business activities using use case models.

• Identify GAPs in their process and areas causing financial losses to the trust and the CCG’s (Care

Key Achievements: - Able to fully build a Comms server interface that delivers discharge
summaries to the GPs Pilot site (for all GP sites using Emis Web and Vision). I was able to achieve the
objective of the 1st
face of this project being the interface between Cerner, the Wirral hospital and Wirral
GPs. I was able to deploy EDS (electronic Discharge Summary) to all GP site using EMIS WEB and
Vision in the Wirral saving them in total of £300,000 spent per annum in managing Discharge
Summaries from the Acute Trust.

Involved in the configuration of Cerner Millennium Solution using clinical information, Provide Post Go Live
support, recommends build solutions that meets the end users requirements. Other key duties are as follows:

The project involves the upgrade of the SystemC Medway with more functionality with preference to 18 weeks Pathway functionality and changes to the Business Intelligence functionality. My role is to review the current business process for the Trust and develop test scripts as well as carry out testing of the 18 week’s pathway.

My role is to manage and deploy clinical systems that will reduce reliance on paper for communication of clinical documentation from secondary to primary care through the use of electronic data interchange (EDI).
