Principal Product Support Engineer (10 years)
Solely responsible for the technical support of all fielded electronic equipment. Cover multiple product
lines for a world- wide customer base. Product lines include microprocessor based engine controller
designs which span a 20 year period. Created industry leading Windows based tools to aid in the
troubleshooting of complex microprocessor based engine controller systems (received patent). Set up
tools/procedures to track and identify significant failure trends - requires use of database skills and
communication with various Engineering disciplines. Evaluate field failures resulting in recommendations
for software, hardware and/or documentation changes to correct failures. Give presentations to internal
and external customers explaining field failure data and corrective actions - requires presentation,
communication and technical skills necessary to work with technical and non-technical personnel.
Product Management (2 years)
2. Management of multi- year projects involving Software, Mechanical, Systems and Electronics Design.
Presided over the proposal, design development, qualification and initial production of a complex
microprocessor based engine controller. Required skills to motivate personnel and organize long term
projects to successful production.
Master Design Engineer (2 years)
Circuit design experience includes D/A, A/D, Servo control, LVDT, high current FET switching, Power
Supply design, EPLD and µP interface circuitry. Higher level design experience includes board layout,
parts placement, EMI and interface compatibility. Developed board level designs, analysis reports and
test plans. Followed the designs from concept through qualification.
