2. The role includes the following:
 Day to day running and supervision of the electrical equipment in oil and gas plants including
technical advising to operating staff.
 Ongoing preventive maintenance routines and schedules.
 Troubleshooting and repair activities
 Major services and overhauls Preparation & implementation.
 Issues reports on major failures and recommends suitable actions to minimize or eliminate
recurrence of the problems.
 Raises/ reviews plant modifications and liaises with operations and engineering personnel to
ensure acceptance and timely implementation of related projects.
 Reviews and comments on the electrical aspects of all engineering projects undertaken in
assigned field.
 Assesses suitability of new equipment/technology and witnesses their trials.
 Ensures all activities are carried out in a safe, timely, efficient and cost effective manner to
maximize plant availability to meet production/injection/export targets.
