More than 25 years of experience in the oil industry working for Transocean, starting when the company was
called Sedco Forex on the rig Drillstar. Started as a Maintenance Roustabout and was promoted through
Roustabout, Assistant Crane Operator, Roughneck, Shaker Hand, Motor Operator, and Mechanic.
Transferred as Mechanic to the Paul B Loyd Jr. then to the Sedco 712 to reactivate it for a contract after a period
cold stacked in Invergordon. Then transferred to the Transocean Rather working West of Shetland. Promoted to
Chief Mechanic when the Rather was awarded a drilling contract in Angola; mobilized the rig down to Angola.
After working in Angola for one year, joined the Sedneth 701 in Congo as an additional Maintenance Supervisor.
Worked as a Chief Mechanic and Maintenance Supervisor as required.
Standalone Maintenance Supervisor when the rig transferred from Congo to Nigeria; responsible for the
preparation of the maintenance plan including 3rd party personnel and equipment to be mobilized prior to
departing and then the rig-up and preparation to be ready to drill once the rig arrived in Nigeria.
Worked on the DrillshipGSF Explorer in India and the development Driller II Semi-Submersible in the Black Sea.

Collaborated with the Chief Mechanic to ensure that all the maintenance tasks were completed. Troubleshot and
responded to emergency repairs as required. Oversaw housekeeping of department work areas.
TRANSOCEAN, INDIA
CHIEF MECHANIC ON THE GSF EXPLORER, 2013 - 2015
Responsible for the work scope planning of the department. This included liaising with other departments to plan
routine maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to the operation. Ensuring that the junior positions in the
department had guidance and training in their tasks and that all work was carried out safely. Ordering spare parts as
required to facilitate equipment maintenance and repairs. Making sure all the Preventative Maintenance tasks were
up to date and recorded accurately on the PMS system. Responding to breakdown or trouble shooting issues as
required on the drilling equipment and cranes. Making sure the daily checks were carried out correctly and any issues
highlighted were rectified

the PMS tasks for all departments on the rig to ensure targets were met and PMS tasks were carried out and recorded
correctly. Liaised with the Client to ensure they had adequate information on upcoming tasks that may affect
operations and ensured that any work scopes that they required included additional manning were accommodated.
Monitored the rig budget and verified that spare parts and equipment orders were monitored to ensure staying
within the budget. Completed long-term planning and costing for required major/critical maintenance. Focal point
for all departments for issue troubleshooting and maintenance issues; sourced/distributed additional information to
assistwith troubleshooting; and contacted/discussed with equipment manufacturers or service engineers if required.
