2. What is human services?
Social work is an academic discipline
and practice-based profession that
concerns itself with
individuals, families, groups, commu
nities, and society as a whole in an
effort to meet basic needs and
enhance social functioning, self-
determination, collective
responsibility, optimal health, and
overall well-being.Social functioning
is defined as the ability of an
individual to perform their social
roles within their own self, their
immediate social environment, and
the society at large.
Social work applies areas, such
as sociology, psychology, human
biology , political
science, health, community
development, law, and economics, to
work with individuals across the
lifespan, engage with client systems,
conduct assessments, and develop
interventions to solve social problems,
personal problems, and bring
about social change. Social work
practice is often divided into micro-
work, which involves working directly
with individuals or small groups

the Founder/Secretary of ‘CHILDCARE
WELFARE SOCIETY’ Who answered some
of the most important questions about
their NGO like what is their work about,
how they provide human services in the
general public, etc.

about the organization
The organization was found in 2004 by 2
of it’s members named Ms. Poonam
Lahoti and Ms. Neena Singhal, now the
organization has 20 members all of them
not just donate but also they teach the
students various subjects. The staff
includes 4 doctor, they takes care of the
students health. The organization at
present has 450 students studying in
classes Nursery to class 10. They have 6
centers in the city.
