• The repetitive, intentional hurting of one
person or group by another person or
group, where the relationship involves an
imbalance of power. Bullying can be
physical, verbal or psychological.
• It can happen face-to-face or through
cyberspace.

• 30% of 6-15 year olds have been bullied in
the past year.
• 16,000 11-15 year olds are absent from
school at any one time due to bullying.
• Children are five times more likely to be
bullied at school than at online. It found
that 87% of bullied children have faced it
in school.

• more likely to be depressed in later life
• more likely to have debt
• less likely to get a university degree
