I have asked people of both
target audiences which cover
line they believe to be the best
suited. This will help me in
making my final decision as it
means I will have the opinions
of people who are genuinely
interested in thriller films.

Blockbuster”. I feel that
choosing this option is
worthwhile as I know that
people of my specific
audience have helped
make the decision and feel
that it is best suited.

On the next slide are just a few of the opinions
that were given about the cover-line that the
majority chose. These have helped me come to
a final decision as I want the cover-line to add
to the success of the magazine and really
advertise the film well.
6. How important is a cover-line?
Nobody has suggested that
the cover-line on a magazine
is not important which tells me
that it needs to have an effect
on the audience and make
the film featured on the cover
seem exciting and well-known
within the genre.
7. Overall...
I have decided that the coverline I will use is “The Ultimate Autumn
Blockbuster” as it adds to the excitement surrounding the film and suggests
that it is the best thriller of the season. This will entice the reader and urge them
to go and view the film. It is also fairly short which means it is attention
grabbing and can be made quite big on the page.
I have rejected ideas including “The Most Intriguing Thriller Of The Year” and
“Hard Hitting Film Of 2014” not only because they go the least votes but also
because they are not as catchy and relevant as I would like. I feel that they
portray the film as well as they could do and the word choices are not as
correct. For example, ‘intriguing’ does not describe the film as well as ‘ultimate’
or ‘blockbuster’.
I feel that the cover-line I have chosen is the best one for my magazine.
