Leaders are born not acquired...!
Great Man theory and Trait theories believe that people inherit certain qualities and traits that make them
better suited to leadership.
There is a significant difference between “learning a skill” and mastering one, in the same way that
others are born with amazing musical gifts or athletic talents.
All remarkable leaders have great history behind them. They were leaders from the onset of their journey
If leaders were solely born what is the point of the rest of us
studying leadership or management?
ARE LEADERS BORN OR ACQUIRE ?
10. www.hemopiliabd.comYouth Volunteer Leadership Training
Leaders are acquired not born..!!
Behavioral Theories believe that people can become leaders through the process of teaching,
learning and observation.
Leadership is a set of skills that can be learned by training, perception, practice and experience
over time.
IF leader can be acquired then why all the leadership
students are not leaders?
ARE LEADERS BORN OR ACQUIRE ?

We use the term “manager who leads” because we have learned over the years that managing
by itself, or leading by itself, are not enough.
With renewed emphasis on good governance, a “manager who leads” is also expected to
practice good governance.
Good governance is about making decisions that are based on information, evidence, and
shared values and processes that are transparent, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the
people being served.
Good governance means decision-makers are held accountable and strategic objectives are
effectively, efficiently, ethically, and equitably met, all the while ensuring that the vitality of the
organization is maintained.
