The document discusses the key differences between networks and the internet, system units and CPUs, and search engines and web browsers. Specifically:
- A network connects computers within a local area, while the internet is a global system of interconnected networks.
- A system unit houses computer components like storage, power supply, and motherboard, while a CPU is the component that processes data.
- A search engine indexes web pages to help users find information, while a web browser displays web pages and allows users to view content from the internet.

4. WHAT IS A NETWORK?
The network is two or more connected computer which
can share resource like a printer, an internet connection,
application, etc. It is a collection of computer systems and
devices which are linked together using a wireless or wired
network
The network provides connectivity between computers and
devices within a restricted range
5. WHAT IS THE INTERNET?
The internet is a global system which use TCP/IP protocol
to link various types of electric devices worldwide.
The internet is a collection of interconnected devices
which are spread across the globe. It is a network of
networks that consist of public, private, public, sales,
finance, academic, business and government networks. The
internet is a type of network and called network of
networks.
6. WHY DO YOU NEED A NETWORK?
The network offers the following advantages:
• Networks provide a fast and effective method for sharing & transferring files
• The network version of most software programs is available at considerable savings as
compared to buying seat licensed copy for each of them.
• You don't need to load all the software on every computer. Instead, load in
the primary server and use on every computer connected to the network.
• Easy connectivity and fast communication
• Internet Access Sharing
7. WHY DO YOU NEED INTERNET?
• The Internet is a network of computers at different locations
around the world.
• Allows you to send an email message from every location
• Helps you to send or receive files between different computers
• Using the Internet, you can participate in discussion groups, such as newsgroups
etc.
• It allows all small, medium and large size businesses to sell their products with
less investments.
• It makes information available worldwide. So there's no need to look for a good
book in different libraries, as you can search for information over the Internet.
• It helps you updated with the latest news and technologies.
• It helps us meet people with the same interests as communities, forums, chats,
websites, etc.
• It eases bills payment by facilitating bill payment online with the credit card and
saves us time spent to stand up in the queue.
8. System Unit CPU
System Unit does not have any full form. CPU stands for Central Processing Unit.
It manages the entire or whole computer. Whereas it is the part of system unit.
Without CPU system unit is nothing. It is the heart or brain of system unit.
It is not responsible for giving the answer or
solution of queries.
While it is responsible for giving the answer or
solution of queries.
System unit is the computer system’s part or unit. Whereas it is the small unit of system unit.
System unit contains or provides the power
supply to the entire computer system.
While it does not have power supply.
System unit contains optical drive, hardware,
RAM, power supply, BIOS, motherboard,
processors, fans, peripheral devices, etc.
Whereas it contains microprocessor, that process
data.
11. WEB BROWSER
Web Browser: The web browser is an example of application
software that is developed to retrieve and view the information from
web pages files present on the web servers.
The first web browser was invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in
1990 and the very first graphical web browser was developed in
1993 which is named the mosaic.
After that, various web browsers were developed. Some of them are
navigator which is developed by Netscape
communication, Microsoft’s internet explorer, Google
Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Apple safari.

Search Engine: A search engine is a kind of website through which
users can search the content available on the Internet. For this
purpose, users enter the desired keywords into the search field.
Then the search engine looks through its index for relevant web
pages and displays them in the form of a list.

to access the resource from the Internet there are some kinds of
software, this softwares are known as Search Engine. Some of
the popular ones are: Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc
