The document discusses the authority of the Sunnah (traditions or sayings of the Prophet Muhammad) in Islam. It states that the Sunnah is the second source of Islamic law after the Quran, and obedience to the Prophet is described as indirectly obeying Allah. The Prophet's sayings and examples are needed to properly understand and implement the teachings of the Quran. Following the Sunnah is considered obligatory for Muslims based on verses commanding obedience to the Prophet.

even the earlier Prophet
“ And We sent no Messenger, but that he
should be obeyed by the leave of Allah “

“ And whoever obeys the Messenger , thereby
obeys Allah.”

Obedience of Allah’ has been mentioned with

10. On the Contrary, there are verses where only
‘the obedience of the Messenger’ has been
mentioned.
“ And Establish Salah and pay Zakah and obey the
Prophet, so that you may be blessed.” 24 :56
”And if you obey him ( the Prophet ), you shall find
the right path.” 24:54
Conclusion : Obedience of Allah cannot be carried
out except through the ‘obedience of the Prophet ‘

12. The obedience of the Prophet is actually the
‘obedience of Allah’, though in an indirect manner.

of a Messenger unless he is guided by a revelation
from Allah.

Hence, it is obvious that whoever believes in a prophet
is bound to ‘follow’ him.... The reason is obvious
