5. As a Legislator
1) 7:157”Those who follow the apostle, the
unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned
in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the
Gospel;- for he commands them what is just
and forbids them what is evil; he allows them
as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits
them from what is bad (and impure); He
releases them from their heavy burdens and
from the yokes that are upon them. So it is
those who believe in him, honour him, help
him, and follow the light which is sent down
with him,- it is they who will prosper."

Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that
forbidden which hath been forbidden by
Allah and His Messenger, nor
acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even
if they are) of the People of the Book,
until they pay the Jizya with willing
submission, and feel themselves
subdued.”

‘To hold unlawful what Allah and His
Messenger made unlawful’- authority is
not restricted to Allah alone
The former wholly independent whereas
the latter dependent on the revelation

3) 33:36 ”It is not fitting for a Believer,
man or woman, when a matter has been
decided by Allah and His Messenger to
have any option about their decision: if
any one disobeys Allah and His
Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly
wrong Path.”

24: 47-52 “They say, "We believe in Allah and in the
apostle, and we obey": but even after that, some of them
turn away: they are not (really) Believers. When they are
summoned to Allah and His apostle, in order that He may
judge between them, behold some of them decline (to
come). But if the right is on their side, they come to him
with all submission. Is it that there is a disease in their
hearts? or do they doubt, or are they in fear, that Allah
and His Messenger will deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is
they themselves who do wrong. The answer of the
Believers, when summoned to Allah and His Messenger,
in order that He may judge between them, is no other
than this: they say, "We hear and we obey": it is such as
these that will attain felicity. It is such as obey Allah and
His Messenger, and fear Allah and do right, that will win
(in the end),

wisdom
The Prophet (pbuh) for the whole of
mankind

Although it is speaking about the spoils of War yet the principle is if a particular event in which a verse is revealed, if the words used are general , they are to be construed in their general sense; they cannot be restricted to that particular event
The incident- a women approached Abdullah bin Masud I do not find in the book
A judges verdict is not compelled to be followed but the verdicts of the Prophet are divinely inspired- If deny can be held as disbeliever
Something more than the literal meaning
Us to explain is whatever the Prophet explained was from Allah
The prophet added niece and aunt
When it calls itself self explanatory!!!!
Shariah-- needs to be expounded
The Students will be asked to recollect the entire incidence
Just a suggestion and not a command but the companions so enthusiastic to follow
Not on those wherein the Prophet has laid down the injunctions
