Also known as ‘cutting on action’, it is an editing technique for
typical continuity editing in which one shot cuts to another on a
particular action, giving the shot and scene more depth.

This is a editing and camera technique in which the scene depicts
typically two characters facing each other. The clips will transition
from one to the other showing that they are looking at one and
other.

The 180 degree rule is a rule in cinematography between a
character and another character in which the scene is only shown
on a 180 degree axis.
